The European Rural Mobility Network (ERMN) was established as part of the SMARTA-NET (Sustainable Rural Mobility for Resilience in Support of Ecotourism) project, in which the Lake Balaton Development Coordination Agency also participated.
The goal of the Network is to strengthen cooperation, share knowledge, and promote innovative solutions for mobility in rural areas across Europe. Sustainable and inclusive mobility is not just a catalyst for social and economic progress, but also a fundamental requirement to guarantee that every individual is included—regardless of how distant or isolated their community might be.
Lake Balaton Development Coordination Agency, as a Friend of the European Rural Mobility Network, has developed the Sustainable Regional Mobility Plan to provide better living conditions, improved accessibility, and more sustainable mobility solutions for residents and visitors to the Balaton region.
