Indispensable decision support tools for sustainable regional development
We are pleased to inform you that the Lake Balaton Development Coordination Agency, the operational body of the Lake Balaton Development Council, organizes an online international seminar, to where I would like to invite you.
According to the European Landscape Convention (ELC), landscape observatories are centres and key tools in the formulation and implementation of landscape policies, forming a bridge between civil society, professional organizations, academic institutions and policy makers. Their role is to collect and exchange information, coordinate and create databases, raise ecological awareness and stimulate public participation.
In the seminar, we would like to draw attention to the importance of landscape observatories and their role played in the formulation of landscape policies. We will share international good practices through the examples of Swedish, Spanish and Italian landscape observatories, and introduce possibilities in Hungary.
